Sherri Shepherd appeared to confirm that Jenny McCarthy will be the next co-host of "The View" during a run-in with TMZ on Thursday.
The gossip site caught Shepherd at the Los Angeles airport, and asked her about Elisabeth Hasselbeck's departure from the show. She said she was "depressed" that she couldn't be there for Hasselbeck's last day.
Then, TMZ asked Shepherd about McCarthy, who has been rumored to be in talks to join the panel.
"Jenny McCarthy is fearless, she's amazing, she'll cause some stuff, so I'm excited about her," she said.
She summed up Hasselbeck's move and McCarthy's apparent arrival in two words: "Tears. Yay!"
Shepherd was recently pounced on by Wendy Williams after she seemed to let the cat out of the bag when it came to Hasselbeck's impending departure.
