More comic book movies are coming soon. According to THR, Jeff Wadlow, the writer-director of the upcoming comic adaptation "Kick-Ass 2," has been hired to write an adaptation of the "X-Men" spinoff comic, "X-Force." Wadlow could also direct the film, though nothing is official on that front quite yet.

The announcement that Wadlow will write "X-Force" comes after a day of speculation about the project. Earlier on Friday, Bleeding Cool reported that Twentieth Century Fox would announce the "X-Force" feature at next week's Comic-Con festivities. Later, "X-Force" creator Rob Liefield took to Twitter to confirm the film was in development.
