Nautical Wedding Style Inspiration For Brides And Guests (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

If you're setting sail for a nautical wedding this summer, style yourself in classic nautical details. For brides, we love classic silhouettes, knot and braid accessories, and stripes as your "something blue." Guests can have a little fun with their look by skipping the obvious choice of navy blue (which may make you look like a bridesmaid!) and rocking an orange, red, or yellow dress instead. Here are two ways to get nautical wedding style.

For the bride: When it comes to your wedding day style, it's all about subtle nods to the sea. We love a dress with a wavy top and a wide blue sash, hair in a chic braided knot, a woven white clutch, and striped details on your shoes. Then slip on classic silver or gold link-inspired jewelry as the finishing touch.

For the guest: Have some fun with your look by wearing a ruched chiffon dress in life jacket orange and carrying a whimsical clutch; a pretty sideswept pony and neutral peep-toes keep the rest of your look simple but stylish. And gold jewelry with a knotted or rope motif is a chic way to do sailor style.
