George Zimmerman Video: Not Guilty Verdict Handed Down In Trayvon Martin Case (WATCH)

A jury of six women found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin Saturday.

After more than 16 hours of deliberation, Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter, meaning the jury found that while Zimmerman justifiably used deadly force in his struggle with Martin on the night of February 26, 2012, they also believed that such force was "necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm" to himself -- Florida's definition of self-defense.

Jurors did not look at Zimmerman as they entered the courtroom and the defendant showed no emotion as the verdict was read, according to reports.

Martin's family was not in the courtroom for the reading of the verdict, but were described as "heartbroken" by the jury's decision, according to family lawyer Benjamin Crump.
