Living in a city that promotes exercise can have a great effect on your commitment to fitness.

Last week, Facebook released its ranking of the top 10 fittest cities in the U.S., analyzing cities with more than 200,000 registered users on fitness-related check-ins and mentions, and the use of fitness apps. The data was collected over a period of three months. At the top of the list? Virginia Beach, Va. and Colorado Springs, Colo. placed first and second. Austin, Texas came in third (with San Antonio and El Paso also making the top 10). For the full list, click here.

Facebook also ranked cities based on activity, including the most popular places for yoga, CrossFit and biking, by calculating the number of activity-specific mentions over the three month period. Click through the slideshow below to find where your favorite activity is most popular. Did your city make the list? Tell us in the comments.
