They say, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." But what about a marathon a day?

Annette Fredskov did just that and then some.

On Sunday, the 41-year-old, who says she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) three years ago, completed a double marathon, FOX News reported. That means she's run the 26.2-mile race 366 times in 365 days.

Fredskov, from Denmark, said on her website that she set out to complete the feat last July because she was curious about human limitations.

"We humans can do much more than we think," she wrote. "It is we ourselves who sets the limits of our bodies with our minds. I would like to be involved in breaking boundaries. I would like help to find out how the body and mind respond to this kind of load."

She added, "I want to advertise that even if you get a diagnosis (in my case sclerosis), it should not deter one from being on living life to the fullest and go for your dreams. It is my hope that I am able to inspire others to do what they dream about."

Since then, "Mrs. Marathon" has graced the pages of newspapers, magazines, and websites across Europe.

According to Guinness World Records, the record for the most marathons run on consecutive days by a female is 13, and the most marathons run in a calendar year by a female is 120. If Fredskov's record is made official, she'll have crushed both.

But the 41-year-old is not slowing down. According to her Twitter feed, she went for a run the day after completing the 366th marathon -- and plans to run in the World Half Marathon in 2014.
