Alec Baldwin Lashes Out At Fox News

Posted: Updated:

Alec Baldwin appeared on Howard Stern's Sirius Radio show on Tuesday and lashed out at Fox News.

When asked about hosts including Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, Baldwin made his views clear:

I watch O’Reilly because I think O’Reilly’s talented. I agree with him about nothing, but he’s talented. But, like [Sean] Hannity — he’s just untalented. I’ve always said he’s like, one day a real broadcaster had a heart attack and they like handed the microphone to a gym teacher from a Catholic high school, and that’s Hannity.

He added that he "admired" O'Reilly and if it wasn't for "the rabid and politically skewed content, he’d probably win a Peabody." He also hit out at the network's parent company, saying, “Very quickly I realized nothing that’s handled by News Corp. is true — nothing on Fox — and now I extend that to all media."

Baldwin has spoken out on the media in the past. He has made his disdain for tabloids quite clear, and has even gotten into altercations with the press in the past.

Just last month, he tore into a Daily Mail who had claimed that his wife Hilaria was tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral. After tweeting a series of angry, homophobic messages about the writer, Baldwin later deleted his Twitter account and apologized.
