'Green Orchard' Home Will Completely Change Your Mind About Sustainable Design (PHOTOS)

While you may think that sustainable houses are synonymous with ugly recycled materials and unsightly technologies like massive solar panels, we're pretty sure that the Green Orchard home found in South Gloucestershire, United Kingdom will change your mind. Our friends at Decoist shared photos of this contemporary stunner, which happens to be totally carbon-neutral.

Designed by Paul Archer Design, this over 2,000-square-foot home near the Severn Estuary has an innovative skin of panels that helps with heat regulation. But the coolest part about this feature is the metallic finish, which gives the estate a futuristic vibe. And the sleek, minimalist interiors aren't too shabby, either.
