Syfy Adapting '12 Monkeys'


t's been a busy day at Syfy HQ.

First up, EW has confirmed a report that the network is close to greenlighting an adaptation of 12 Monkeys, Terry Gilliam's 1995 sci-fi feature starring Bruce Willis. Chick Roven and Richard Suckle, who produced the original film, are reportedly on board the new project, which was pitched as a 90-minute backdoor pilot that would act as the lead-in to the series. Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt, and Madeleine Stowe starred in the original film about a convicted felon (Willis), who attempts to earn a pardon by doing recon for the government via time travel.
