The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Boston Red Sox in a 2-1 nail-biter on Monday night at Fenway Park, but the battle between the two AL East rivals continued afterwards.. on the internet.

After Tampa Bay jumped Boston in the division standings to take sole possession of first place, the person in charge of the Rays' twitter account took a shot at the Red Sox.

It didn't take long for Boston's official Twitter account to respond, firing back with a pointed reference to Tampa Bay's middling attendance numbers at Tropicana Field.
