Stage and screen star Cheyenne Jackson and husband Monte Lapka are calling it quits.

A spokesperson for Jackson, a Broadway veteran also known for stints on "Glee" and "30 Rock" as well as a supporting role in HBO's Liberace biopic "Behind the Candelabra," confirmed the news in a statement to Playbill, calling it an "amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter."

Meanwhile, a source told US Weekly that Jackson and Lapka had been "living separate lives" for some time, and pointed out some new ink the actor has been sporting as of late.

"His new tattoos … really show how he's trying to transform himself," the source is quoted as saying. "I have no idea why he's doing it, but I've been watching it happen, really fast, this past year."

Photos of Jackson's new tattoos have popped up on a number of media outlets, including The Backlot, NewNowNext and Queerty. Meanwhile, Queerty is also reporting that Jackson has since relocated to West Hollywood with a "very young" boyfriend.

Jackson and Lapka, who had been together for a total of 13 years, tied the knot in a private ceremony in September 2011. "Married the best man I've ever known," Jackson wrote on Twitter at the time, attaching a picture of the couple wearing white on a beach in the Hamptons.
