-
Paula Jones:My son was breast-fed for three years. He would kill me now if I showed his picture on-line with the "B" word in the caption, but this is where he works - he is now 27. I think he turned out okay. When he was 6 months old I was asked to nurse him in a mall restroom stall, you know sitting on a toilet...just the place where most people go to eat their dinner....NOT. Whatever your decision, I SUPPORT YOU.
-
Mommyof3Princesses:I struggled determinedly to breastfeed all three of my beautiful girls. Lindsey Rae Wilson:I've always been a firm believer that breastfeeding is the ONLY way to feed your child. That is what breasts are made for. Our society has made them into something else. What is so wrong with breasts? How is it disgusting feeding a baby? I think it's absolutely beautiful, and wish there were more people like this woman standing up for her rights to feed her baby. Just like I would, ANY DAY!

My daughter will be 25 years old in a couple days and my son is almost 17. Each child breast-fed, for food and comfort, until almost three years old.
In public, back then, I had to hide out in corners or slink away to my car when my children needed to be fed. It’s fantastic and wonderful that there’s so much support for it now.
I support every family’s individual decisions regarding caring for and feeding their children. We all want what’s best for each of them and there are many ways to be right.

vidito:We went to visit my family in Ecuador - everywhere we went there were breastfeeding moms nursing their kids in public and without covering up. It is beautiful to see how a culture can be so open minded to what it is considered the best food in the universe for our future generations. To all those who are against breastfeeding in public - quite your ego, meditate and find your enlightenment being - then you will experience that "breastfeeding" is a sacred food from the Goddesses and realize you are part of their realm.

lizcknits:My daughter was exclusively breastfed to 6 months, when we started solids. Occasionally we gave her some formula, because she ate more than I could pump at work. I wanted to get past 1 year. She wants to go longer than that, and as anyone who has a toddler can tell you, we don't get much of a say when they have made their minds up about something!
-
lizcknits:I (mostly) EBF for the first 6 months, apart from the formula we gave her when she drank more than I could pump at work. I was determined to get past a year, and see where it went from there. She's now two, and I would like to finish up breastfeeding, but as anyone with a toddler can tell you, once they've made up their minds, there's not much we can do about it!
