We try our hardest to be articulate in front of you guys. We really want to make sure we bring you only the best content and really enrich it with what we have to say about it. Which is why we have to apologize for how absolutely gobsmacked we are by this mayonnaise recipe. You see... it's made out of milk. And contains no eggs. Milk mayonnaise.
Until now, we'd believed wholeheartedly that mayo's power lay within the emulsifying power of raw egg yolks. Which weirds a lot of people out and makes mayo troublesome for pregnant ladies and those with egg sensitivities. This milk mayonnaise, which combines very cold whole milk, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper and oil fluffs right up into the luscious texture we expect from all homemade mayo. With zero egg whatsoever. Now, if your mind isn't completely blown yet, freak out on this: you can make it with coconut milk too. Coconut milk! Vegan homemade mayonnaise! No more who-knows-what-goes-into-it Vegenaise, guys. If you do not think this is a total game-changer, you just haven't learned to love mayo yet.
