Mike Diamond Of The Beastie Boys Designs Wallpaper, Seen In New York City Club Marquee (PHOTO)

Last year we were surprised (to say the least) to learn that Mike Diamond, aka Mike D from Beastie Boys fame, joined up with Vincent J. Ficarra of Revolver New York and Flavor Paper to create a unique spin on the classic toile wallpaper.

Of course, his own patterns are Brooklyn-inspired, with images of the Brooklyn Bridge, The Notorious B.I.G., Hasidic Jews and hipsters instead of the usual French scenes and can be seen in photos of his own Cobble Hill brownstone.

Want to see the rapper's designs for yourself? Earlier this year, New York City club Marquee covered its ladies' restroom walls in a red and black version:

"Brooklyn Toile" is also available from the Brooklyn Museum.
