According to the report, Guiry was at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston when an airline employee decided he was too drunk to fly. After airport security was called in to assess the situation, Guiry allegedly "tried kicking the cop in the face" and headbutted the officer.
According to TMZ, Guiry was booked for "felony assault on a police officer." The 31-year-old actor, who played Scotty Smalls in "The Sandlot" was released after posting $5,000 in bail. TMZ has a copy of Guiry's alleged mugshot.
Recently, the actor spoke to The Huffington Post about the film's 20th anniversary and called shooting the movie "One of the best experiences of my life." He noted that a lot of his friends still call him "Smalls" in honor of his iconic role.
The Huffington Post reached out to Guiry's rep, but did not receive comment immediately.
