Sandra Fluke Endorses Christine Quinn For Mayor Of New York City

Fluke Gives Big Endorsement

Sandra Fluke, who became a women's rights activist after she was denied the right to speak at a controversial contraception hearing on Capitol Hill and then called a "slut" by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, has endorsed Christine Quinn for mayor of New York City.

Fluke announced her endorsement on Twitter Wednesday morning:

Quinn tweeted about Fluke's support, sharing a photo of the two talking to people on New York's Upper West Side:

According to a Quinnipiac poll released on July 29, Quinn leads the primary field with 27 percent of likely Democratic voters. She took the lead back after rival Anthony Weiner was caught up in another sexting scandal.
