Sharks Target Butts In The Red Sea

Why Have Sharks Been Targeting Butts In The Red Sea?

Look, it's Shark Week, so we don't want to make sharks the butt of any jokes in this article -- that would be asinine.

It's just too bad that sharks are making meals of our butts. A series of recent shark attacks in the Red Sea left researchers puzzled because not only are shark attacks rare in area tourist hotspots, but these sharks were going directly for beach bums.

Bite marks can give a good idea as to what kind of shark is viciously attacking beachgoers, but the recent bites were too big to find any teeth impressions. However after a fourth attack, the unharmed victim was able to give authorities the description they needed to identify the hungry shark: An Oceanic White Tip, which gets its name because it usually never leaves the open ocean for shallow water.

But why go for the posterior? Watch the video above to find out.
