Chris Brown Suffers Seizure (UPDATE)

Chris Brown reportedly experienced a major health scare early Friday morning (August 9) after having a seizure.

TMZ reports that the 24-year-old singer was at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood when he allegedly suffered a seizure. A 911 emergency call was placed at 1:09 A.M from the recording studio. According to the website, Brown refused medical treatment and transportation to a hospital.

Meanwhile, photo agency X17 claims Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins, has flown into Los Angeles from Virginia, presumably to look after her son.

Brown isn't the only celebrity to have a seizure scare in recent months. Rapper Lil Wayne suffered multiple seizures in the past year, while Kelly Osbourne also suffered a seizure in March.

UPDATE -- Brown's rep issued a statement to the Hollywood Reporter Friday night, saying "Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES). ... His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."
