The 1970s were a different time. Tight perms were in, men wore platform heels without anyone asking questions and polyester was considered an acceptable material for absolutely everything.

It was also a time when the nipple was considered an appropriate focal point for one's look. How else could you really explain the existence of "The Nipple Bra"? (Besides the Internet's enduring fascination with this vintage product...)
