She's only 3 weeks old but Hope is already living up to her name.
The Shih Tzu puppy was rejected by her mother for being born alongside a stillborn puppy, according to the Daily Mail.
Thankfully, a Siamese cat named Coco was around to play mommy.
Coco delivered a litter the same day that Hope was born, and her owner integrated the puppy with the newborn kittens.
"I suggested it because there was no other option," owner Paula Ball told the Daily Mail. "The puppy wouldn't have survived otherwise."
Story continues after post.
Vet Lizzie Goldstraw told the BBC that Hope "fitted in perfectly," and she will remain with her kitten siblings until she is weaned at 6 weeks old.
Another adorable interspecies family came together earlier this year when a cat in Ireland took in a group of orphaned ducklings.
