Brunch has been getting a lot of flak lately. From complaints about the lines to the crowds, brunch is being talked about for all the wrong reasons.

But brunch shouldn't pay any attention to the haters -- because I think it's the best meal ever. Seriously, there are so many reasons to love brunch -- including the simple fact that it is the ultimate mashup -- which completely makes up for any bogus reasons people cite to why they hate this weekly ritual. Just think about how sad, lonely, and alcohol-less your Saturday and Sunday mornings would be without this reliable meal. A world without brunch is definitely not a world I want to live in.
