Does This Tweet From Nate Berkus Mean His Incredible New York House Sold? (PHOTOS)

We're not sure if the news that Nate Berkus sold his fab Greenwich Village home to Alexander Gilkes for $4.9 million is true, but we did see that Berkus retweeted HauteLiving's account of the transaction on Wednesday.

It was only nine months ago that Berkus showed off his gorgeous remodel of the home he paid $3.35 million for in 2011 in the pages of Architectural Digest. His work included covering the whitewashed walls with beautiful accessories and art, a stunning kitchen transformation and turning a former home gym into a luxe dressing room.

Now, according to the Observer, Gilkes, co-founder of the online art bazaar Paddle8, will get to enjoy the designer's former 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-bathroom, impeccably decorated pad. And whether this is accurate or not, once you see photos of this space, we think you'll agree that it's worth every penny. (Even considering it's a fourth-floor walk-up.)

Good for Nate! We just hope this doesn't mean that he's totally uprooting from NYC.
