'Modern Family' Wedding: Season 5 Promo Teases A 'Yes' That Will Change The Show, Will It Be Mitch And Cam? (VIDEO)

The Answer Is Yes! But What's The Question?

ABC has released a new promo for "Modern Family" Season 5, and it's all centered around one little word: "Yes!" But what's the question? Could wedding bells be in the air for Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) now that gay marriage has been legalized in California?

"It's not a bad bet," co-star Ed O'Neill told The Huffington Post at the New York Upfronts in May, when asked about the couple's marriage prospects.

According to Deadline, the premiere will deal with the legalization of gay marriage in some way, but the writers had already decided to tackle the issue "before the decision came down. We would have been extremely unlucky writers had the decision gone the other way," said Jeffrey Richman, who wrote the episode.

Fans, critics and even the ACLU have weighed in on Mitch and Cam's potential nuptials, with the organization actively campaigning for the characters to tie the knot: "The ACLU has been working since 1936 to guarantee the rights of lesbian and gay people," ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero said in a statement back in May, "and we see sending Cam and Mitch down the aisle before 13 million American viewers as the perfect next step."

What do you think the question in the "Modern Family" Season 5 premiere is?

Season 5 of "Modern Family" premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
