Susana Privada, Florida Mother, Gives Birth On Hospital Lobby Floor (VIDEO)

A South Florida mother was lucky to make it to the hospital in time to deliver her baby; she just didn't make it past the receptionist desk.

Surveillance video captured the sudden birth on the lobby floor.

Wednesday morning Susana Privada arrived at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital in pain. "I just [asked] for the wheelchair, but I say at the same time, 'It's out, it's out,'" she told WSVN.

As the video above shows, Privada suddenly lies down on the floor with her husband kneeling at her feet.

I could feel the baby coming,” Privada told CBS Miami. “All I could do was drop to the lobby floor.”

Luckily, a nurse happened by just at the right time to deliver the baby girl who had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.

"I was actually running, because I didn't want to be late for my job," Libardo Lozano told NBC 6. "When I entered, I saw a woman that was laying down on the floor. The natural reaction was to see what [she needed]."

Baby Dayana, at 6 pounds 8 ounces, was born in under 30 minutes.

South Florida recently had another expectant mother caught off guard by a super fast labor.

Amy Beth Cavarette was headed to a Boca Raton hospital in May when she gave birth on the sidewalk outside. See the amazing images below.
