Prosecutors in "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Teresa and Joe Giudice's federal fraud case are allegedly turning to Bravo for help. The New York Daily News reports prosecutors have asked Bravo for unaired "Real Housewives of New Jersey" footage featuring the Giudices.
When reached by the The Huffington Post, a spokesperson for Bravo had no comment about the report.
"For every hour that airs, there are more than 20 hours of unedited footage,” a source told the Daily News. "They shoot for three months and end up using only the footage that fits into the storyline they want to focus on."
The Daily News reports prosecutors hope to find proof on tape of Teresa or Joe doing any inappropriate spending. The reality TV stars have been accused of 39 counts of fraud and entered a not guilty plea last week. A trial date is set for October 8.
The Giudices have kept relatively mum about the charges aside from a statement released when the news first broke and a tweet in July.
Thank you all so so much for your love and support. It means the world to me and my family! TANTI BACI Xx
