The Best French Fries: A HuffPost Deathmatch

Do you prefer curly fries? Or are waffle fries more your thing?

We are a French fry-loving country. On average, we each eat about just under 30 pounds of French fries in a year. That's a whole lot of potatoes. But it's not hard to understand why. French fries are served with so many dishes. And, let's be honest, most of the times they're the best part of the meal.

Between the great shape of the curly fry, the crispness of shoestring fries and the full flavor of steak fries, we are spoiled when it comes to this potato dish. There's a fry for everyone. Which is why we want to know: when it comes to French fries, what's your go-to style? We know it's not easy to pick favorites, but sometimes we just have to make tough choices. Vote in the deathmatch below and let us know what's the ultimate when it comes to fries.

Here's how the French Fry Deathmatch voting will go down:

Round One voting opens at 9:00am Eastern, August 20.

Wednesday, August 21st at 12:00am Eastern, Round Two begins.

Thursday, August 22nd at 12:00am Eastern, you'll be able to vote in Round Three.
