Adriana De Moura and Lea Black sat down for a serious conversation on "The Real Housewives of Miami." The one-time BFFs wanted to figure out what went wrong in their friendship. How did they get to the much uglier point they're at now?
It came down to a war of words between the women over Adriana's marriage. Neither remembered events in the same way, leading to hurt feelings. But how do you say who's right, or is it possible to just forget it and decide it doesn't matter? Lea felt that Adriana had lied to her about her secret marriage for years after a local paper revealed that she'd been legally married all that time. Lea, though, insists that Adriana knew all along. As for Adriana's claims that she financially helped Lea out at one time during the time she thought her friend was single, Lea says it never happened.
Adriana thought Lea was trying to assassinate her character. "The people that are going to hurt you the most are the people you love the most, and that’s the case with you and I," Adriana said. "I’m hurt by you.”
“Now you’re going to turn this around where you’re the one hurt by me?” Lea asked, shocked.
“I thought I had a sister in you," Adriana said. "What I had in the end was a wicked sister who, all along, was planning my demise!” Things didn't end well, either. Adriana dramatically stormed off into the rain and refused to come back inside.
It was Team Lea all the way for Buddy TV's Gina Pusateri. She wrote, "This is basically what Adriana tells Lea: YES, she got the marriage license, YES, she got married, but NO, she is NOT married. Because this logic is, well, faulty, to say the least, Lea is not buying it. But she stays cool and calm while Adriana keeps getting more and more worked up as she's caught in multiple lies.”
Kristine Francis of Celeb Dirty Laundry was torn, noting that both women seem to be in the wrong -- and that this could escalate into something very, very ugly.
