Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, released a statement on their son Beau's health.
"Yesterday our son Beau underwent a successful procedure," the statement said. "He is in great shape and is going to be discharged tomorrow and heading home to Delaware. He will follow up with his local physicians in the coming weeks."
Beau Biden, Delaware's Attorney General, has been under evaluation at a cancer center in Texas for several days. He was joined in Texas by his wife and parents, along with other family members.
The AP reports Biden felt weak and disoriented on Aug. 14, and was initially admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago before traveling to a Philadelphia hospital to consult with his doctor. He was discharged from that hospital and spent last weekend at home in Wilmington.
