Russian Military Hovercraft Lands On A Crowded Beach, Because Why Not (VIDEO)

Silly sunbathers! Don't you know the beach is no place for puny civilians?

Hundreds of beachgoers in Russia received a startling surprise on Sunday when a massive military hovercraft landed on the crowded shoreline. Sky News reports that nobody was injured by the 550-ton vessel, which carries onboard missiles, automatic weapons, and mine-laying equipment and was reportedly conducting a routine training mission nearby.

"Docking at the beach is normal," a spokesman for the defense ministry told Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda via the Independent. "What people were doing at the beach on the territory of the military (base) is unclear."

Russia: Swim at your own risk.
