Vet Student, Liz Pendleton, Saves Dog From Horrible Craigslist Ad (VIDEO)

WATCH: Woman Saves Dog From Terrifying Craigslist Ad

Veterinary student Liz Pendleton was browsing Craigslist on Saturday when she came across an ad that prompted her to immediately get in the car and go on a 90-minute drive.

Titled, 'Dog needs gone or shot (sic),' the ad threatened to kill the German Shepherd mix by the end of the day if no one showed up to claim him, Fox 2 reports.

"We had to pick him up, no question about it," Pendleton told Fox 2.

Even though she didn't have room for the dog, Pendleton drove from her home in University City, Mo., to the ad's location in Morrisonville, Ill., to rescue him.

"I couldn't leave him," she told KMOV. "The ad had only been up for an hour and a half but I didn't want to take any chances of him getting hurt so I left within the half hour of seeing the ad myself."

When she showed up at the owner's house, a woman handed the dog over and "basically didn't say anything."

Pendleton said she notified police about the ad, and now she's looking for a permanent home for the dog she's name Buck.

She told Fox 2, "He deserves love and much more than he has been getting."
