*NSYNC's MTV Gig Skyrockets The Boy Band's Music Sales

The men of famed boy band *NSYNC reunited at last night's Video Music Awards, coming together to be a part of Justin Timberlake's career-spanning performance. Timberlake, who received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at MTV's 2013 VMAs, was joined by Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick to resurrect some classic *NSYNC dance moves and to sing a little "Bye, Bye, Bye."

While the reunion was short -- all five members of *NSYNC appeared onstage together for less than two minutes -- the impression was lasting. Sales of *NSYNC's hit 2000 song "Bye, Bye, Bye" jumped 156 percent, according to The Wrap. Other music from the boy band, including the greatest hits album and the smash hit "No Strings Attached" also saw increases as well. Timberlake's own "Cry Me A River" saw an increase in sales by 1,337 percent. The last *NSYNC album of new music, "Celebrity," hit stores in 2001.

In addition to taking home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award in honor of his illustrious career, Timberlake also took the award for Video of the Year for his song "Mirrors," beating out Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop," Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven," Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," and Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell's "Blurred Lines."
