"The Good Wife" is back! Season 5 of the hit CBS legal drama returns in September and everything will change.
In the exclusive preview above, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) tells Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and Peter (Chris Noth) that she's starting her own firm, and viewers also get a glimpse of a new character who may stir up trouble.
Season 4 ended with Alicia Florrick agreeing to leave Lockhart/Gardner and start her own law firm with Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry). But the two will have to keep those plans under wraps and continue to work alongside their bosses Will Gardner (Josh Charles) and Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski).
Meanwhile, Peter Florrick was elected governor of Illinois and he's got a new staff, including an ethics counsel played by "Grey's Anatomy" alumna Melissa George. Will the two become more than co-workers?
"The Good Wife" Season 5 premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
