Driving in New York City has never been described as rapid transit. Think you could make a loop around Manhattan in just 24 minutes? Forget about it! But someone else apparently did.
On Aug. 26, the purported record of 26:03 minutes around Manhattan, seen in this video released by the Corporate Broadcasting Corporation, was beat. According to the Gothamist, a 2006 BMW started at E 116 Street and sped along FDR Drive, surpassing the previous time by two minutes.
The Huffington Post is not recommending that anybody speed through New York. But records are meant to be broken, so we can only wait to see who will "own" the streets of Manhattan next!
