Kyron Horman Missing: Volunteers Search For Oregon Boy 3 Years After Disappearance

Volunteers Search For Missing Boy 3 Years Later

The mother of an Oregon boy who went missing three years ago said that she feels optimistic about the results of a weekend search for her child.

Desiree Young called the effort "two solid days of searching" as more than 100 volunteers around Portland hunted for clues in the disappearance of Young's son, Kyron Horman, CNN reports.

"We found a lot of things, and possibly evidence," Young said at a Sunday news conference, according to KATU. She declined to offer more specific details.

Horman was 7 years old when he went missing on June 4, 2010. He was last seen when his stepmother, Terri Horman, dropped him off for school, according to The Oregonian.

No suspect has ever been named in the case, though the investigation has focussed on the stepmother, according to KPTV. In June of last year, Young filed a lawsuit against Terri Horman demanding that she reveal the whereabouts of the missing boy.
