Anti-War Protester Escorted Out Of Room Ahead Of Syria Hearing

An anti-war protester crashed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's hearing on Syria Tuesday, but was escorted out before the hearing began.

"No war in Syria!" the protester yelled.

CSPAN tweeted a photo of the protester, part of the group Code Pink:

Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel were among those testifying at the hearing about U.S. plans for military intervention in Syria.

UPDATE -- 3:15 p.m.: Another Code Pink protester interrupted the hearing, yelling, "The American people do not want this!"

Kerry responded to the protester, saying she reminded him of himself.

"The first time I protested before this committee, when I was 27 years old, I had very similar feelings to that protestor," Kerry said.

"I think we can all respect those who have a different point of view," Kerry continued.
