Fashion Flashback: Alexander Wang Has Come A Long Way In 6 Years (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Alexander Wang had the fashion world swooning when he presented his very first ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week in February 2007 -- and he was only 23 years old. Later that year, he offered up some runway looks for spring, which included the signature that would make him a household name: the slouchy t-shirt.

This year Wang will turn 30, and his designs have matured as he has. Today, the (relatively) seasoned creative director showed his Spring/Summer 2014 collection with offerings that built upon his catapulting staple. Crop tops, unbuttoned oxford shirts and logo-emblazoned jumpers all graced Wang's winding catwalk, proving that the designer has advanced quite a bit in the past six years. (Balenciaga sure thought so.)

Below, see the t-shirt Wang showed for spring back in 2007 alongside his eye-catching, deconstructed white "t-shirt" from the Spring 2014 collection we saw today. Reinventing a wardrobe staple? You've come a long way, baby.
