Bruno Mars confirmed a major rumor on Sunday afternoon, announcing that he will be performing at the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Rumors that Mars had been booked for the gig began swirling this week without word from the NFL. The 27-year-old singer took to Facebook on Sunday to post a promotional photo of himself for the game, following an official announcement.
