When Everyday Health Leader Dr. Laura Berman appeared on Mondays With Marlo, she spoke about her battle against cancer, and the lessons she learned along the way. Dr. Berman explained that cancer is about inflammation of the cells. It can be caused by stress and anxiety, so meditation is a powerful tool. Anything that stresses out your liver, like dairy and in particular, red meat, will lead to inflammation. Luckily, eating deep, dark, leafy greens can help douse the flames of inflammation. You should also keep your sugar intake as low as possible.
