'El Chavo Kart' Video Game To Be Released For Xbox 360 And Playstation 3

‘El Chavo’ is speeding back onto game consoles.

The beloved Latin American character from the TV series “El Chavo del Ocho” will appear in the new racing video game, “El Chavo Kart,” for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this year, according to the Associated Press.

In early 2012, Mexican network Televisa released the first "El Chavo" video game for Nintendo Wii based on the animated series "El Chavo Animado."

The new game, which the network announced this week, will be also be based on the cartoon series and will include all 12 characters with their respective race karts. “El Chavo Kart” will be created by Efecto Studios and published by Slang Games.

“To satisfy their loyal Latin American public, the characters will have the original voices from the Spanish and Portuguese animated series,” the network said in a press release.

In August, toys inspired by Mexican actor Roberto Gómbez Bolaños’ celebrated series were released in the United States. The “El Chavo” Toys included an 18-inch talking “Chavo” doll along with plush dolls of his friends “Quico” and “Popis.”
