On the heels of a dramatic second round Friday, the no-cut BMW Championship rolls into the final 108 holes of the FedEx Cup's playoffs.

Jim Furyk, propeled by the sixth 59 in PGA Tour history, surged into a share of the lead alongside Brandt Snedeker at 11 under. They'll hold a three-shot lead over Zach Johnson as play begins Saturday, with five golfers another two shots back: Ryan Moore, Charl Schwartzel, Jordan Spieth, Kevin Streelman and Nick Watney.

World No. 1 Tiger Woods begins the day seven shots off the lead and paired with Sergio Garcia at 4 under. Woods was assessed a two-stroke penalty Friday after his round for moving a ball when he found trouble on the first hole, resulting in a quadruple bogey.
