LSU Fraternity Apologizes For Offensive Sign Referencing Kent State Shootings

A Louisiana State University fraternity has issued an apology after hanging an offensive sign before the school's football game against Kent State this weekend.

The sign — hung in front of LSU's Delta Kappa Epsilon house — read "Getting Massacred Is Nothing New to Kent St.," a reference to the 1970 campus shooting in which the Ohio National Guard opened fire on around 2,000 student protestors. Four Kent State students were killed and nine were wounded.
