"Avatar" fans probably won't see Arnold Schwarzenegger on Pandora. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Avatar" studio Twentieth Century Fox has denied that Schwarzenegger is involved in the James Cameron film, this despite a report to the contrary on Monday from the web site Latino Review.
HuffPost Entertainment contacted Schwarzenegger's representatives for comment on the matter, but have not yet received a response.
According to Latino Review, Schwarzenegger was set to play a villain in "Avatar 2." Schwarzenegger and Cameron have previously worked together on the first two "Terminator" films as well as "True Lies."
Despite the Fox denial, even THR reporter Borys Kit doesn't seem convinced that Schwarzenegger is out of the running:
But as movies develop, things could change. There have been plenty of instances where agency and studio denials have proven false as parties try to keep a lid on plot details or sensitive negotiations.
