In the 90-minute season finale, "Big Brother" crowned its 15th winner after a season of controversy and improved ratings. It was down to Andy Herren, GinaMarie Zimmerman and Spencer Clawson. But then there was the final competition, and the first round was about hanging on and roller skating. In other words, Spencer was out almost immediately.

In the end, it came down to Andy and GinaMarie, with Andy winning the final Head of Household of the season. Saying that he was staying true to a Day 1 vow, Andy took GinaMarie with him to the end, making Spencer the final member of the jury. So who won?

Well, considering part of winning is making a compelling case to a potentially bitter jury, GM was at a distinct disadvantage. She's become notorious for stumbling over her words and struggling to make a coherent point. And, as expected, she was up to her usual standards during the interrogation. Plus, Andy did play a longer and more strategic game, flying under the radar and playing every side of the house at the same time. Who knew floating could be a winning strategy?

In the end, it was a 7-2 vote and Andy took home the $500,000 grand prize, leaving GinaMarie with the not-too-shabby $50,000 runner-up check. There was a $25,000 prize for "America's Favorite," which proved no surprise either. Likely in large part thanks to her sister, Season 13 winner Rachel Reilly, Elissa Slater took home this prize.

“I’ve been as skeptical as the next guy of Andy’s whole gameplay style. He hopscotched between power alliances. He threw people under the bus. The couple of times that he had power in the house, he nervously did his best to hand that power off to someone else. But Andy made a good case for himself," wrote Entertainment Weekly's Darren Franich. "You might not like his gameplay, and it certainly didn’t create much drama. But he won fair and square.”

As E! Online's Tierney Bricker pointed out, both Andy and GM actually need the money. "Now that the houseguests are back in the real world, a few of them will learn they actually lost their jobs for some of the comments they made on the livefeeds, including GinaMarie and winner Andy, as well as Aaryn Gries.”
