Katie Couric admitted on Friday that there have been plenty of times during her career, including on her current daytime show, where she has felt uncomfortable with story ideas she has been pitched.

The host spoke to HuffPost Live from the Women: Inspiration and Enterprise conference, which she was hosting. When asked to reflect on her career, how to remain authentic and if there have been moments that made her uncomfortable, Couric said that there have been.

She cited one time when she was a local news reporter in Washington, D.C. and refused to do a piece called "Too Tired For Sex because that wasn't "the type of the work [she] wanted to be associated with" early on in her career.

"I can't tell you the number of times whether I was on the 'Today' show or even on my current format where I've said, 'I don't really think that's worthwhile,'" Couric said. "I obviously listen to what my head and heart are saying when it comes to tackling various topics."

She also spoke about her fiancé John Molner and their engagement earlier this month. Couric said that he is "great," and also set the record straight on one picture of the couple courtside at a basketball game which reports said showed them making out. "He's not kissing me, he's talking to me there," she said.
