Robin Roberts Celebrates One Year Since Bone Marrow Transplant, Tears Up (VIDEO)

On Friday's "Good Morning America," Robin Roberts celebrated the one year anniversary of her successful bone marrow transplant.

"I'm just so excited in sharing it with everyone who is celebrating, as well," she said, jumping up and down in her chair. The anchor and her "GMA" co-hosts celebrated Roberts' one year "birthday" with cake and a phone call from her sister Sally, who provided the bone marrow transplant.

Roberts teared up as Sally thanked the network and all the fans who supported her sister throughout the past year.

Roberts was diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder and received a bone marrow transplant last year. She kept viewers updated on her progress throughout her recovery and returned to "GMA" in February.

Roberts has made strides since the days before the transplant. On Friday, Roberts tweeted:
