'Behind The Candelabra' Wins Best Miniseries

"Behind the Candelabra" has won the 2013 Emmy for Best Miniseries or Movie.

HBO's Liberace biopic has earned itself a little more luster with its Best Movie win, beating "American Horror Story: Asylum," "Phil Spector," "Political Animals," "Top of the Lake" and "The Bible" to take home the prize.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, "Behind the Candelabra" starred Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his assistant-turned-lover Scott Thorson. The telepic was nominated for a total of 15 Emmys, winning eight at the Creative Arts Emmys and scoring three on Emmy night, including Best Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for Douglas and Best Director for Soderbergh.
