Nancy Pelosi: Hillary Clinton Would Be More Prepared For White House Than Obama, Bush

WASHINGTON -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that if Hillary Clinton ran for president in 2106, she would be more prepared for the White House than all recent presidents -- including Clinton's husband and President Barack Obama.

"With all due respect to our president -- I think he's magnificent and wonderful and a blessing to us -- but [Hillary Clinton would be] certainly more prepared than President Obama, certainly more prepared than President [George W.] Bush, certainly more prepared than President [Bill] Clinton," Pelosi said during an interview on CNN's "State of the Union."

Clinton, who served as Secretary of State for Obama for four years, hasn't said whether she's running in 2016. But plenty of people are already preparing for the possibility, and Clinton herself has kept up a busy schedule that, if she were to run, would lend itself to a training camp for a second presidential campaign.

Pelosi named former President George H. W. Bush as the last president whom she thought was prepared for the responsibilities of the White House when he arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. She also pointed to another person who would be ready for the job, should he choose to run in 2016.

"Joe Biden’s very prepared," Pelosi said.
