Season 6 of "Castle" kicked off right where fans were left hanging all summer. Castle had just proposed. So what was Beckett's response? Well, shock, first of all. She wanted to make sure he wasn't doing this to try and keep her from taking that job in DC. He wasn't.
“Richard Edgar Alexander Rogers Castle, yes. Yes, I will marry you," Beckett told him. E! Online's Tierney Bricker said, "Feel free to squeal, people."
A fresh engagement doesn't mean the couple is going to have an easy go of it this season, though. Just as the season finale left fans with a nail-biter of a cliffhanger, the premiere did the same thing. Of course, having Castle's life in jeopardy probably isn't quite as nail-biting. It's not as if "Castle" is going to kill off its Castle, is it?
Over at Buddy TV, Morgan Glennon noted that Beckett was really going to try and have it all. "Of course, if we've learned anything from workplace think pieces and borderline offensive movies starring Sarah Jessica Parker, it's that ‘having it all’ isn't as easy as it seems," she wrote. "I remain impressed by the creative team's decision to stay committed to showing their relationship as functional, happy and loving -- although not without its road bumps”
Will the action stay in DC on this season of "Castle," or return to New York after this two-part premiere? Come back Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC to find out.
