An investigative Guardian report published Wednesday found that Nepalese workers are dying at a rate of one per day as they toil to build stadiums for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The report finds that migrant workers contributing to World Cup infrastructure are being subjected to exploitation and abuses equivalent to modern-day slavery.
