'Modern Family' Spinoff In The Works? ABC Reportedly In Early Talks

Here Comes The Spinoff

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ABC show -- which took home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series last weekend -- has a spinoff series on the horizon.

Although nothing is official, series creator Steve Levitan reportedly has his eye on a storyline centering on Rob Riggle's character Gil Thorpe, a real estate agent who often competes with Phil (Ty Burrell).

After seeing a huge amount of critical success, Season 5 of "Modern Family" is off to a great start. In the season premiere, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) finally got engaged after eight years together.

When the couple both found themselves down on one knee while trying to fix a flat tire shortly after hearing about the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, they looked at each other and simply said, "yes." It was a touching moment, to say the least!
